September Employee of the Month
Laura Davila is the Human Resource and Payroll Director. She has been employed by Spearman ISD for fourteen years. She is everyone’s friend at SISD! She makes sure we all get paid on time and answers all of the many questions that come her way about benefits and payroll.
“Laura is very organized and is always willing to put in the extra work to get the job done.” She does this with a smile and never complains. She is my listening ear when I need to brainstorm ideas with someone,” commented Superintendent, Dan Gist.
A quote we often use in the administration office is “Everyone Loves Laura!” She has earned that quote. Her positive outlook on life spreads, and Spearman ISD is better because of her.
Congratulations on a well-deserved award! Keep up the amazing job you do for all of us.

September Employee of the Month
Celia Perez is the Spearman High School ala carte cafeteria manager. “Spearman High School has the best food. You would always get something you will like to eat there,” shared High School Principal, James Layman.
Celia has a positive attitude every day. She is always smiling and having fun. Often times, you can hear laughter coming from the cafeteria and Celia is in the middle of it.
“We were shorthanded and I was visiting with Celia about not having any applicants for the position. Celia said, “We will be alright; we will make it work,” stated Assistant Superintendent, Shane Whiteley. She is the type of person that will get the job done no matter the circumstances.
Congratulations on a job well done. Thank you for making everyone’s day better through your contagious smile and laugh.

Tasha Williams is the counselor at Gus Birdwell Elementary and Spearman Junior High. “This year she has taken on the junior high counseling job and has had a positive attitude about the additional duties,” shared Alexis Beck, Gus Birdwell Elementary Principal.

“She is a great communicator, organized, and is flexible when there is a need to make an adjustment to schedules or any other part of her job,” commented Spearman Junior High Principal, Craig Black.
Beck shared, “She jumps in wherever there is a need and is always seeking to find solutions for students on campus that have a need.”
Congratulations! You go above and beyond, and others are blessed by you.

More love for our friends

More love being shown to our friends.

Our love for the family of Yahir #22 and the community of Dalhart spreads across the campuses. We are reminded of how fortunate we are to live in a region where the district lines open, and we all come together to spread kindness to our friends in Dalhart.
Thank you, Sports Zone, for making this possible with your act of kindness.

Our awesome Lynxettes helping at the food bank in a community service effort.
