Chelsie Baker teaches fifth grade English Language Arts (ELA) at Gus Birdwell Elementary. “I love teaching fifth grade because the students still like me, and they can tie their own shoes!” laughed Baker. Baker is married to Brandon, and they have three children. Her children attend Spearman schools. “I enjoy building relationships with my students and letting them know how they are loved and valued. I learned a long time ago you must REACH them to TEACH them,” shared Baker. A graduate of Gruver High School, Baker attended Wayland Baptist University and Oklahoma Panhandle State University where she earned her degree. Her future plans include pursing a degree in Speech Pathology and continue working in the school system. Congratulations, Mrs. Baker, on building relationships with your students.
