Hannah Chase is a Special Education (SPED) paraprofessional at Gus Birdwell Elementary. She joined the team in January. Chase has worked in home health and served on the EMS in Booker and Fritch, Texas.
She earned an associate’s degree from Amarillo College and will complete her bachelor’s degree May 2022 from West Texas A&M University. Her goal is to become a teacher and coach.
Chase has two children and enjoys being outside with them, going to the beach, and doing things with family.

Inspire Your Heart with Art Day, January 31, 22

Spearman ISD Spotlight ~ Karina Correa

Karina Correa joined the Gus Birdwell Elementary team in January and is the Head Start Family Services Assistant. She and her husband have two children and are expecting their third child in the spring.
Recently she graduated from West Texas A&M University where she earned a bachelor’s degree in social work.
She plans on attending the University of Texas Arlington to earn a master’s degree.
She is a member of Phi Alpha Alpha Nu Honor Society for social work.
Spending time with family, friends, traveling, and shopping are some of the things she enjoys doing.

The “Lynx Motorcoach” sets off today on its maiden voyage to meet the Canadian Wildcats. The activity bus was purchased from Wink ISD. The Van Hool bus was purchased by Spearman ISD with 133,000 miles on it. Van Hool buses are known for being able to drive up to 1,00,000 miles! With a new paint job and all imperfections removed, the “Lynx Motorcoach” looks brand new.
Spearman Superintendent stated, “We have great kids. They deserve nice things!” Now, let’s get a Win in Canadian!!
