Staff Spotlight
Fanny Chavira joined the Spearman Junior High staff in December. She is the first person you will see when you go to the junior high; she is the secretary. She was a paraprofessional at Gus Birdwell Elementary before taking a two year leave to stay home with her baby.
Chavira graduated from Spearman High School and earned her phlebotomy certificate after high school.
She is like many and puts shopping at the top of her favorite list of hobbies!

Staff Spotlight
Tucker Howell teaches Ag Science at Spearman High School. She graduated from Sudan High School and recently graduated from West Texas A&M University (WTAMU).
She was awarded being on the President’s List while attending WTAMU. Her future goals are to potentially get her master’s degree.
Reading, spending time with family, and baking are some of her favorite hobbies. Her weenie dog, Finn, gets the most attention out of her!

Spearman ISD Nurse Sally Swan visits Coach Whiteley's Health classes this week. She is teaching the basics of CPR, choking rescues and Stop the Bleed procedures. Nurse Swan does an incredible job!

We would like to congratulate our Spearman Junior High January Students of the Month:

These students have exemplified what we strive to be as students at Spearman Junior High. Each month teachers will choose one male and one female from each class to represent SJH.
Gordon’s and 216 Main are celebrating our students with a drink and cookie each month.

There have been a few changes to the Gruver tournament for this Saturday.
Please mark your calendar - Gus Birdwell Elementary will release at noon on Wednesday, January 18th and Thursday, January 19th for parent teacher conferences.

This is just a reminder that any high school student that missed a semester exam during the last week of school will be required to complete those exams tomorrow morning at 9 am. Please have students enter the High School through the front doors.
