Students advancing will compete at the regional meet on April 21 at West Texas A&M University’s Canyon Campus.

Spearman FFA has been putting in the miles this week! From the panhandle to Tarleton State University, Spearman FFA has been represented this week by a great group of kids! Congratulations to the Spearman FFA Dairy Cattle team on placing 10th out of 111 teams at Glen Rose and 9th out of 151 teams at the Tarleton Invitational. Wish these guys luck as they continue to compete!

Spearman ISD is proud to recognize our UIL Academic speaking competitors at the district meet! 🎤✨ These students competed in Persuasive Speaking, Informative Speaking, and Poetry, representing Spearman with professionalism and excellence. From left to right: Ryan Vasquez, Mary Pearson, Vylainne Garcia, Adley Barclay, Izzabella Slover, Valeria Enríquez, and Bryce Swanson. In Informative Speaking, Valeria Enríquez placed 2nd and Vylainne Garcia placed 3rd, advancing to finals. While they did not advance to regionals, we are incredibly proud of their achievement and all of our competitors’ hard work. Go Lynx & Lynxettes!

GBE GT students recently had an incredible visit to the Texas Tech School of Veterinary Medicine! They were first welcomed in the ASCO lobby, where they got a glimpse of where veterinary students gather, collaborate, and build community. From there, they toured the 24-hour lab, exploring training models and even getting hands-on experience with the tools vet students use to develop their skills. Next, students visited the “ologies” lab, where a faculty member guided them through two engaging exercises. They also had the exciting opportunity to ask questions and learn directly from a veterinary surgeon! The trip wrapped up with a visit to the bone museum, where students examined real bones and organs from both small and large animals—an unforgettable, up-close look at animal anatomy. A fantastic day of learning and exploration!

Congratulations to Ayden Peigne and Erick Reyes on their acceptance to the University of North Texas! 💚 Ayden will be studying Biomedical Engineering. Erick will be studying Forensic Biology.

Congratulations to our Spearman FFA Land Judging teams. They placed 1st and 3rd at the Ochiltree judging contest. Greyson Thompson was 1st place individual and Chris Garcia was 3rd place individual. Seven of the kids placed in the top 10. Way to works kids!

The Spearman Hispanic Advisory Council dedicated significant time and effort to identifying both the strengths and challenges within the district. A special thank you to all our members for their valuable contributions and for helping bridge the gap between school and home to support and enhance student learning.

SISD's Board of Education proudly recognized Spearman High School band members who have qualified for State Solo and Ensemble. Congratulations!

Spearman High School STUCO invites you and your family to our Community Movie Night! 🎬 Join us on March 24 at 6:30 PM in the SHS Auditorium for a showing of Big Hero 6. Everyone is welcome! Please note: Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult. Snacks will be available for purchase, and all canned food donations will go to the Hansford County Food Bank. Admission: 1 canned food item per person We hope to see you there for a fun night while supporting our community!
