Spearman HS Student Council will be hosting a community movie night on Tuesday, April 21 at 6:30 in the high school auditorium. Admission is one canned food item which will be donated to the Hansford County Food Pantry. We look forward to seeing you at this fun night of watching The Goonies!

Last week, our SJH Student Council and GT students traveled to Liberal, Kansas. Our students attended the Cock-Pit and Beyond Career Possibilities Day at the Mid-America Air Museum. Students visited with businesses and government representatives from various aviation related entities. They even got to make a stop to see Dorothy and Friends!
Congratulations to Dallen Scroggs and Maddox Ortiz on their acceptance to Lubbock Christian University! 💙
Dallen will be studying Kinesiology with the plans of becoming a Physical Therapist.
Maddox will be studying Psychology to become a Family Therapist.
Both boys will also be joining the LCU Track Team!

Today, a Spearman ISD van was involved in a vehicular accident. Thankfully, all student passengers and the driver are believed not to be injured, although students are being medically evaluated out an abundance of caution. All parents have been notified and Superintendent Layman is on his way to Desdemona to pick up the students and staff member to transport them home.
Spearman HS students pursuing the Animal Science Program of Study had a great training day at Hansford County Feeders. The day focused on Cattle Care and Handling. Students will complete their IBC next week at WTAMU. A big thanks to the Texas Cattle Feeders Association, Hansford County Feeders, and Dustin Mackie for all of the information and a fantastic lunch.

Congratulations to Isabella Gauna on her internship acceptance with Defiant International Inc. in Dallas!
Isabella will be learning the behind the scenes work with podcasts and utilizing her photography skills. 📸
Congratulations to the Spearman FFA Land Judging team who placed 5th out of 21 teams at San Angelo. Issac Caro placed 9th out of 88 individuals. Way to go kids!
